L’Occitane’s Pivoine Flora Shower Cream Review- Heavenly Fragrance and Silky Texture!

Pour some of the thick, creamy liquid from the bottle onto your palm, close your eyes and deeply inhale the rich fragrance of this shower cream…..

Suddenly, you’re transported to a beautiful garden where millions of pretty, pink peonies stretch out in front of you as far as your eyes can see, basking in the soft sunshine. They sway and dance in the gentle breeze as it fills the air and your olfactory senses with the sweet, intoxicating aroma of these little beauties. You take a deep breath as this nature’s bounty reminds you of the Persian poet, Jami’s, couplet,
“Gar Firdaus roy-e zamin ast, hamin ast-o, hamin ast-o, hamin ast.”
(If there is a paradise on earth, it is this, it is this, it is this”.
You sigh with delight…….

…..And make the mistake of opening your eyes….oops, you’re in your own bathroom! But you still have a slice of paradise in your hand, the heavenly fragrance of those pretty, pink peonies in the palm of your hand….L’Occitane’s Pivoine Flora Shower Cream!

The marvellous fragrance of this shower cream is perfectly complimented by its thick creamy texture which turns into a light foam that gently caresses your skin. A mundane shower turns into a ritual of indulgence as you feel the foam glide silkily over your skin leaving it soft, supple, lightly hydrated and delicately fragranced as you rinse it off. I love to layer the Peony Beauty Milk (shall be reviewed soon) over this to further moisturise my skin and make the fragrance last longer.

I hate to divert your attention from the gorgeous fragrance and texture to the practicalities like packaging but that has to be done. I have both, the 250ml bottle as well as the travel sized 75 ml one. Both bottles are a romantic, baby pink plastic with silver caps. While the travel sized version has a flip-top cap, the bigger bottle has a “spring-up” cap. The 250 ml bottle is short and stout and is equally travel friendly.

The 75 ml bottle of this delightful shower cream is priced at Rs. 395 while the 250 ml one is for Rs. 1095 though I bought both during the L’Occitane sale. I’m so much in love with this fragrance that I’m going to get the EDT too.

I highly recommend this shower cream. It is expensive but sooooo worth it!
