Revlon Parfumerie Autumn Spice – Shimmer and Spice and….Chanel Dupe???

After an interminably long wait, Revlon finally, finally launched their Parfumerie range of fragranced nail polishes in India. I bought three shades from this collection and here’s a super pretty colour, perfect for fall/winter, Autumn Spice
Revlon Perfumerie Autumn Spice review

These bottles of polish look more like vintage mini perfume bottles. You know the ones with the glass stoppers. The packaging is simply adorable!

Add to that the fact that these polishes are fragranced and you have a winner on your hands. Not fragranced as in “cheap-nauseating-synthetic smell”, fragranced as in “oh, this smells nice. I want to sniff my nails” kind of fragrance.

The brush too, is of perfect thickness, not too thick, not too thin, and helps in easy application.

As for the colour, picture a log fire burning at night in the dark autumn woods and you have the colour. It is a dark chocolate brown with loads of reddish brown, gold and purple micro shimmers

When I first applied it, it reminded me of a limited edition Chanel polish that had been released last year (which is why the Chanel dupe?? in the title coz it isn’t an exact dupe). Chanel Western Light is very similar to Revlon Autumn Spice. The only difference is that Autumn Spice is more shimmery than the Chanel polish.

After seeing the nail swatches online, I realised that the Chanel polish looked more creamy brown than the Revlon polish. This is how Revlon Autumn Spice looks on my nails…

I took the picture in bright sunlight to show you how beautiful the shimmer looks. Of course, the polish looks far prettier than this amateur photographer could capture.

See how beautiful this colour is? And absolutely perfect for the festive/wedding season. And it as a delicious caramel-y/warm vanilla pie kind of fragrance. While the fragrance doesn’t last long, around a day and a half max, it certainly adds to the allure of this pretty polish.

No polish lasts on my nails for longer than a couple of days without chipping. With the Revlon Parfumerie Autumn Spice polish, I get a couple of days of wear time (though the tips start wearing out the next day itself. Mommy woes I guess). I guess for most of you, it would definitely last longer (unless you’re a mommy).

Priced at ₹350 per whopping 11.5ml of polish, this is certainly a very good buy. Not only are the colours lovely, the fragrance is also mild and pleasant. And the best part is the packaging. How cute and adorable are these bottles? They’d look wonderful on any dresser! I highly recommend buying at least one shade from this collection.

Did you like Autumn Spice? Have you tried out the Revlon Parfumerie nail polishes yet? Do let me know in the comments.
