Autumn FOTD – A Look With Radiant Skin and Dark Lips

This afternoon, I was trying out a mascara and taking pictures of my eyes, when I thought why not do a FOTD? It has been ages since I last did any kind of “look” so I thought why not an “Autumn” one with dark lips? While most of the northern hemisphere is done with autumn and has moved on to winter, we, in Mumbai, are still stuck in summer. But that can’t be helped, so here’s a look that will look great in the winters….radiant skin and dark lips……

I was really quite happy with the way the makeup turned out, especially since I hadn’t used too many products for this look. And would you believe that this is a sheer coverage foundation I’m using???? Seriously, Sony has done some Harry Potter-esque magic with its camera in the Xperia Z2 because my skin looks really nice in almost all the pics I take on my phone. And while it has definitely improved a lot with my recent skincare routine (read post here), it is honestly, nowhere as flawless as it appears in these pictures.

Here’s the makeup that I used for this look:
* L’Oreal Nude Magique in 320 Natural Beige. (reviewed here)
* MAC Select Moisturecover Concealer in NC35 (reviewed here)
* L’Oreal Lucent Magique Blush in Sunset Glow (reviewed here)
* L’Oreal Infallible Le Rouge in Persistent Plum (reviewed here)
* Sleek iDivine Storm Palette, three shades (reviewed here)
* Maybelline Hyperglossy Liner in Black
* Mirenesse Instant Lash Duet Volumising Mascara

I really LOVE the L’Oreal Nude Magique foundation. The texture, the sheer to moderate coverage and the powder finish. I haven’t even used a finishing powder for this look! And no primer either. In this picture, you can make out some of my left over acne scars on the cheek. There are some acne marks as well but I’ve used the MAC concealer over those as well as for my dark under-eye circles.
I have done a bit of contouring under my cheekbones with the dark brown eyeshadow from the Sleek iDivine Storm palette and used my current absolute favourite blush, Lucent Magique over it. It gives me a wonderful radiant, naturally glow-y look that isn’t shiny or OTT (over the top).  L’Oreal has seriously raised the stakes in the economy makeup field with these new products which are total winners.
On my eyes, I used the rose gold shade from the Sleek iDivine Storm palette (the middle one in the picture) all over the lid and then used the shimmery-bronze colour on the outer corners, crease and lower lashline. I lined my upper lashline  with the Maybelline Hyperglossy Liner and finished with just a single coat of the Mirenesse mascara. (The Hyperglossy liner and Mirenesse mascara shall both be reviewed soon.)
My eyebrows, as always, were left untouched. Do you think I should perhaps fill them in or neaten them a bit? I like the way they are naturally though.

All I wore on my lips was a single coat of the insanely pigmented, creamy yet long-lasting lipstick from L’Oreal, the Infallible Le Rouge in Persistent Plum. No faffing around with a lip liner, just swipe and go.
So, this was my Autumn FOTD. I kept it quite simple with just minimal products. What do you think of it? Like / dislike? Do comment below and let me know….
