Shingora Scarves Add Colour and Warmth To Your Winter Wardrobe

 

I love winters because of the way we can play aroud with fashion; layering, accessorising, playing around with jackets and boots. And of course, scarves. Soft, snug scarves. Colourful, vibrant scarves. Scarves that change your entire look and help you make a fashion statement every single day.

Those of you who follow me on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter would have seen me wear a different scarf each day on my reccent trip to Shimla last month. Travelling to a cold place gave me the much needed excuse to splurge on beautiful scarves from Shingora. Wearing a scarf doesn’t simply mean draping it around your neck everyday. There are loads of different ways in which scarves can be styled and each day, I wore the scarf differently. One of my favourites is this Disney scarf with Minnie Mouse on it. While this scarf is from the kids range (a special range for girls), I had to have it because, hey, a girl is never too old for Disney. Besides being super soft and lightweight, like all the other Shingora scarves, this one also has cute polka dots all over it.

Since I wanted to keep Minnie Mouse in focus, I decided to drape it in the simple European loop ensuring that Minnie wasn’t hidden….

The next day, I was wearing denim on denim and decided to wear a blue and green scarf that I draped in a style that is popularly called the Waterfall. This style has the scarf “cascading” down your front.

On day 3, I wore the scarf that was the plushest and softest of the five. Though it was pure wool, it felt like it was a blend of wool and silk. I tried to take a picture of the print on the scarf but no photograph could do justice to the beautiful watercolour-like abstract-floral print on this scarf. This one, I chose to drape in the Infinity Loop so that you have two loops around your neck without any visible ends.

For day 4, I again opted for denim on denim and the scarf I paired with it is the most colourful of the lot. Orange, blue, purple, teal, ochre – this scarf can brighten up any outfit. I wanted it to look a bit more ornamental, like a choker around the neck and so, I twisted the entire scarf and then looped it around my neck thrice and tucked in the ends.

The last scarf of my collection is a beautiful abstract one with shades of grey, black, white and red.  Because of the colours and the linear print, it would look great on men as well. In fact, I think it is part of the Men’s collection but I really, really loved it.

Initially, I draped it in a very simple way, just a single look around my neck but then I decided to do something a bit more stylish….

I seriously am in love with scarves, especially the gorgeous ones at Shingora. I feel so tempted to buy loads more, especially the ones with Swarovski from their Luxury collection. This is one very versatile fashion accessory that can totally change your whole look and take it from drab to fab.
