Wella Elements Shampoo and conditioner review

The first thing that I fell in love with when I used this shampoo was it’s fresh, leafy fragrance. Wella has very rightly said that the fragrance is inspired by the Amazon because it has the fresh aroma that reminds one of a verdant forest after a heavy downpour. The Wella Elements Shampoo is colourless and unlike most sulfate-free shampoos, works up into a rich lather that deeply cleans the hair getting all the dirt and product build-up out without being too harsh on the hair. It makes my hair really clean without leaving it feeling dry and frizzy like most clarifying shampoos do. At the same time, it isn’t too moisturising either that my hair feels greasy by day two.

The Wella Elements Shampoo is the perhaps the BEST shampoo I have ever used – along with the Om Ved Shampoo. If I were to make a list of my favourite shampoos, both of these would tie for the number one spot.

Wella Elements Shampoo and conditioner review

The Wella Elements Lightweight Renewing Conditioner is just like it’s name suggests – a lightweight conditioner that adds moisture and suppleness to the hair without weighing it down. After I got the cysteine therapy done (check out my video with Beautv on the procedure here), I needed a conditioner that wouldn’t weigh my hair down and make it look oily/greasy. The Wella Elements Conditioner is just perfect and gives my hair exactly what it needs. Of course, about once a week/ once in 10 days, I use  a hair mask to deep condition my hair but that is something I do regardless of which conditioner I use in my daily routine.

The other thing that I loved about this conditioner is that it is packaged in a tube making it very convinient and hygienic to use. And of course, the conditioner too, has the same fresh leafy fragrance that the shampoo has.

The Wella Elements Shampoo and Conditioner are priced on the higher side but I love the fact that they are sulfate-free, paraben-free and don’t have artificial colorants either. The shampoo, despite being sulfate-free lathers so well and gently but effectively cleans the hair and the scalp. The conditioner too is lightweight and adds moisture without making my hair greasy. If you are looking for a sulfate-free, paraben-free haircare range, then I would highly recommend the Wella Elements Range.

  1. hi, just bought the conditioner, but it only says zero parabens, so I’m a bit nervous to use it on my extensions, as it doesn’t say zero sulfates lite the shampoo does. What do you think, will it be ok?

    1. Sulfates are present only in shampoos, not conditioners so you don’t need to worry about that.
