The Body Shop has recently had a whole slew of new launches, all of which I have been trying out since nearly 3 weeks. These days, activities at sons’ school is keeping me on my toes along with chauffeuring them for their football coaching, band practice etc which is why I can’t blog as frequently as I used to. Today’s post is on The Body Shop’s new launch for the hair – the Fuji Green Tea Hair Care range consisting of the shampoo, conditioner and a very unique product – a hair scrub. Read on to know my thoughts on this new range…

I was truly excited to try out this unique product because I had never tried a scrub for the scalp! It has a thick and gritty texture which is very difficult to describe, though I had shown it on my Insta stories. It is a scrub and shampoo in one so on the days that you use this, you don’t need to use a shampoo. Though it has a  gritty texture, it doesn’t feel abrasive on the scalp.

The Fuji Green Tea Hair Scrub has menthol in it which gives a cool, refreshed feeling to the hair and scalp. It helps clean the hair and scalp and also helps in removing product build-up and flaky skin cells from the scalp along with dust and sweat and other pollutants that stick to it. The salt crystals and menthol also stimulate the blood circulation to that area making the hair look healthy and shiny.

Before I got my hair makeover, I used this hair scrub for every alternate hair wash and really loved the tingly menthol feeling and the clean feeling it gave my hair. After the makeover though, because my hair has been processed and coloured, it needs a bit more pampering so I have to be very gentle with it.

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Shampoo and Conditioner review

Winter is the time when my hair looks and feels really nice. There is less frizz and, ironically, that means that I don’t need shampoos and conditioners for dry hair; the ones for normal hair work well. The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Shampoo and Conditioner are meant for normal to oily hair, they clean the hair and scalp while the menthol in them gives a  nice refreshing feeling. My husband loves this shampoo a lot since he works out everyday and this makes his hair feel fresh and tingly, removing all the sweat from the scalp (he doesn’t use conditioner).

While the shampoo and conditioner are both really nice, what I liked most is that they are formulated without any silicones and colourants! Not only that, they also contain extracts of Japanese green tea as well as community trade honey from Ethiopia. And these are 100% vegetarian, of course.

My Views

All the three products of The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Hair care range are really nice but the one that I liked the most is the Hair Scrub. I would recommend it to everyone for a weekly use to get rid of product and sweat buildup from the scalp.

Have you tried any of these new products? Which one have you liked?
