Estee Lauder Modern Chic Face Palette Swatches and Review

I had written about the newest addition to my makeup wardrobe a couple of days ago…Estee Lauder Travel Exclusive Palette. I somehow couldn’t get myself to even touch the shades because I didnt want to ‘spoil’ the pristine palette *giggles*.

But now, finally, I tried it out and have swatched it….such pretty lovely colours, amazing texture and wonderful fragrance (lipstick)!!!
Here are the product pics taken in normal daylight:
The Blush: Pink Kiss

Here’s how they look on my bare NC 37 skin in normal daylight:

The pink blush looks quite peachy under yellow lights doesnt it?

My views: The eyeshadows and blush are very finely milled and have a smooth silky texture. They go on very easily and are quite pigmented. I feel the colours would look good on most skin tones.  The blush is a peachy pink and gives a lovely hint of colour to the cheeks. It is quite pigmented so it’s better to apply lightly and then build up.

The lipstick is simply awesome…it is sooooo smooth and creamy, glides on like a dream and feels so soft on my lips. And as I said, I love the fragrance of Estee Lauder lippies. The colour is a mid-tone mauve with slight brown undertones and a hint of shimmer and I think it would look good on almost all skin tones.  Somehow, I havent been able to capture the right colour of the lipstick in the pics though you can make out the colour in the swatch.

Now if only I could learn how to take wonderful eye makeup and lip swatch pics like a lot of my talented blogger friends do, I would happily put up EOTD and LOTDs using the shades from this palette….any tips for that???

What do you think of the colours in the palette?
