Faces Magnetix Nail Laquer in Mettalic Pink – Review and Swatches

Hey girls,

I don’t know about you, but I have noticed that most of my shopping is impulsive, the kind that happens when I’m just browsing randomly without any specific shopping list. That’s exactly how I ended up buying this new nail laquer from Faces.

Magentic nail polish’s unique designs are quite a big trend in nail art so I decided to try out the Faces one. I chose the colour ‘Metallic Pink’ which is a dark, almost-purple pink with purple shimmer. In the bottle you can also see some silvery shimmer particles which I guess are the magnetic particles that give create the designs.

The cap of the bottle has a removable magnetic cover which is to be held over the freshly painted nail for 10 seconds to get the design.

It is a little time consuming as you have to do one nail at a time and ‘magnetise’ each nail before you move on to the next..

The polish is quite opaque and one coat is quite enough to give good coverage and isnt streaky. The purple shimmers too look quite lovely! However, by the time I reached the third nail of the second hand, I felt that the magnet had lost its “power” coz I failed to get any clear design on the last three nails that I did. Perhaps I failed to shake the bottle well before applying or perhaps the magnet needed a rest…

Overall, I did like the quality of the colour, I’ll try it out once again and see whether the magnet behaves better next time around. Maybe it is I who need more practise.

Price-wise, it is definitely on the higher side, it is Rs. 550 for 9.8ml (which is more expensive than OPI in India). I would surely think twice before buying more colours from this range and ofcourse testing out the magnet for longer before splurging on other shades.

What do you think? Are you tempted to try it out?
