Neutrogena Fine Fairness Deep Whitening Mask – Review

I usually don’t use Neutrogena products except for the Ultra Sheer sunscreen sometimes because I have noticed that there is a difference in quality in the Neutrogena products available here and the ones from USA. Recently though, I had gone for the Indiblogger and Neutrogena blogger meet where I received a sample of the Fine Fairness Deep Whitening Mask.

I’ve always been very sceptical of fairness products that claim instant fairness. After all, you really can’t make your skin several shades fairer and nor should you even try. However, I do like to try out products that unify the skin tone and reduce sun spots / acne marks and I know that those products have to be used over a period of time to show results. So, it was out of sheer curiosity that I decided to use this mask.

One pack contains a single mask which is meant for one-time use only. It is made from a light fiber so it feels soft and light on the face. The cloth is saturated with a serum that feels cooling and hydrating once its on the face. The mask is big enough to fit most faces and has gaps for the eyes and mouth and nose so that it fits snugly.

I kept this mask on for around 15-20 minutes and it didnt dry out at all. There was no tight or stretchy feeling, my skin just felt soft and hydrated. The instructions say not to rinse the face after removing the mask, I just gently massaged the leftover serum into my skin. It was absorbed within minutes and didnt feel heavy or greasy either.

However, besides soft and hydrated skin, I didn’t notice any other difference in my skin after using this. Obviously I didn’t expect anything drastic but there was no de-tanning either. Maybe if you use this once a week for a couple of months, it might show some results but I can’t vouch for that after a single use. All I can say is that is a nice mask to soften, smoothen and cool the skin in summer.

Have any of you tried this mask? What sort of results have you got from it?

  1. Nice review Dollie, 🙂
even I don’t expect much from the fairness products except for lightening tan but some of them cant even do that.

  2. I think they’re available at bigger chemists or supermarkets.
