Revlon Parfumerie Bordeaux Review- A Beautiful Oxblood Shade For Winter

With the weather turning a wee bit cooler, I feel tempted to bring out the dark shades (though I don’t have too many of those since I prefer neutrals and brights). The one shade that I’m currently loving and wearing almost ALL the time, Revlon Parfumerie Bordeaux, a gorgeous oxblood shade from Revlon’s new Parfumerie collection.

Revlon Parfumerie Bordeaux Review

The week gone by has been extremely busy and the weekend is going to be busier still. So, the only time I got to take pictures was when I took son for football class and nursed a cappuccino while waiting for it to get over. All these pics have been taken in a cafe and I don’t care if people give me strange looks for taking pictures of makeup while sipping on my coffee.

Bordeaux is a gorgeous, rich oxblood colour with a creme finish and I really love how it looks on me. In fact, this colour would look great on all skin tones. It is deep and yet not too gothic. The texture is wonderful and goes on smoothly without streaking. This shade gives an opaque finish in just one coat but the nail line is still visible which is why I prefer to wear two coats with this.

Please excuse the bad pictures. The lighting in the cafe is to be blamed.
See how glossy it is? It looks brighter than it actually is in these pictures because of the  yellow lights but under white light or in day light, it looks deeper.
Revlon Parfumerie Bordeaux actually does have a very mild and pleasant “bordeaux” fragrance. Though it is mild, the fragrance lingers on till the third day unlike Autumn Spice which I couldn’t smell beyond the second day.
The Revlon Parfumerie polishes come in the most adorable bottle! Even if the polishes and the fragrance weren’t so nice, I would still buy them for the pretty packaging. They look adorable all lined up on the dresser. I must admit, though, that the the stubby, round “cap” of the bottle is quite uncomfortable to hold while applying the polish.
Priced at ₹350, these polishes come in several beautiful colours and I’ve been lusting after the African Tea Rose which is always out of stock! I have also bought Wintermint from this but haven’t worn it even once yet because I just keep removing and re-applying Bordeaux!
What do you think of the Revlon Parfumerie range of polishes? Did you like Bordeaux?
