You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only option you have.

My mother in law has been admitted to the hospital today (not covid) and yet again, I realise that I have reserves of strength that I never knew I had. Social media will of course take a backseat for a while and I ask you to pray for her speedy recovery 🙏.

Our country is full of architectural gems, such as the Ajanta caves, and I truly wish somebody would invent a time machine so that I could visit these beautiful historic places when they were in their prime. Here are some fun facts about the beautiful Ajanta caves:

* To get light inside the caves, they placed huge mirrors that reflected the sunlight inside and gave them adequate light to work by. Sometimes, they also placed large vessels of water to reflect the light. .
* The walls and ceilings of the caves were covered with a layer of "plaster" to give a smooth base for the paint to adhere to. This base was made out of a mixture of clay, cow dung, limestone etc.
* The paints used were all from natural sources like turmeric for yellow, indigo for blue.
* Crushed pearls were also used to add a lustrous effect to the paintings.
