It’s #WorldBookDay so of course I have a confession to make. It has been years since I bought a physical book - hardbound or paperback - because all my reading now happens only on my Kindle. I love the convenience that the kindle gives me -of being able to carry it everywhere, of having 100s of books on it, and of being able to read late into the night without disturbing my husband - but I do miss the actual feels of a book - the scent of the paper, the feel of it as you turn the page. I also love to re-read books that I love (I’ve read the Harry Potter series 14 times) and these are just a few of the physical books that I love.

What do you prefer? Physical books or e-books?

An “event”ful day with two of my favourite brands hosting wonderful events at different ends of the city. Wore schiffli dresses for both, white in the morning, pink in the evening because comfy, flowy dresses are the best for the Bombay heats

@bobbibrownindia hosted a brunch to launch the newest addition to their Vitamin range, the Vitamin Enriched Serum which is a hydrating and glow enhancing serum packed with vitamins and other skin-loving ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, whey protein and fruit extracts. The texture of the serum is absolutely lovely and I can’t wait to incorporate it in my skincare routine.

@etudeindia held a makeup masterclass to celebrate their 5th anniversary in India. They also launched a new range of Fixing Tints - Glow Fixing Tint (a moisturising & glossy lip stain) and Fixing Tint Bar (a long wearing, hydrating matte lipstick) . I already love the regular Fixing Tints and am very excited to try out these new launches.

I’ve always been more of a gloss person than a matte lip pie one and these three are my current favourite brown lip glosses. Super comfortable and hydrating, they give that glossy look with a little bit of colour (I have pigmented lips) and are just perfect for the everyday, casual look.

Zara has a lovely range of fragrances, most of which are supposed to be dupes of popular designer fragrances. I blind bought all of these based only on the notes in the description, and can’t wait to test them out and share my thoughts with you.

All I can wear in this heat are cool cotton / linen dresses or soft, wispy mulmul co-ord sets such as this one. Of course, that’s only when I’m stepping out because when I’m at home, it’s only cotton pjs for me. It is simply too hot to wear anything else .

Think of this as a chilled glass of refreshing lemonade or lemon iced tea on a super hot summer day. It is cheerful & bright, slightly sweet, perfectly citrusy and very uplifting! It’s unisex but according to my son, smells better on him than on me, and using that excuse, he’s claimed this bottle for himself.

003 is also almost identical to Nishne Wulong Cha X (just the tea note is missing in 003) but at a much lower price.

Top notes: Yuzu, Bergamot and Violet Leaf
Middle notes: Jasmine, Neroli and Elemi resin
Base notes are Vetiver and Musk.

I’ve had this foundation since weeks but I used it for the first time just yesterday. Applied a very thin layer and loved how weightless it felt and how lovely it made my skin look. If you notice, it even covered up my acne marks! Lasted beautifully from 10:30am till I cleansed my face at 9pm. My first impressions - chef’s kiss! #notsponsored

What are some of the things that you miss about In

What are some of the things that you miss about India when you’re travelling abroad? Here are 3 things that I miss the most and wish all countries would adopt:

1) Green and red labels on food so that you can tell at a glance whether it’s vegetarian or not. Countries should definitely adopt this, and perhaps even add a yellow or blue dot for vegan food.

2) The “Bombay Sandwich” as street food - it is basically bread loaded with veggies, can be had plain / toasted / grilled, with cheese or without - what’s not to love? One of the most filling and delicious street snacks that other countries can easily adopt. And it’s not difficult to make mint & coriander chutney, is it?

3) The jet spray in the loos - need I say more? Of course, in our recent trips, we’ve been carrying the portable ones , and most Asian countries do have them. Jet sprays are such an environment-friendly and hygienic thing that all western nations should adopt them!
