I’ve never been fond of milk. As a child, I would hold my glass of milk (flavoured with a chocolate mix, or else I wouldn’t touch it) in my hands for ages and each time mom would tell me to finish it, I would take one teeny tiny sip. Karma however, makes sure that what goes around, comes around so now I play mom’s role while younger son does exactly what I used to.
So, it’s no surprise that I wasn’t too tempted to buy the Memebox Milk Edition when it came out. Whole Grain was the one I really wanted (reviewed here) but when I saw it in a bundle with Milk, I decided to go for it coz of the upgraded shipping. And now, I’m really glad I bought it because it is filled with some really wonderful products….

HELLO EVERYBODY BUBBLE BATH STEAM MILK
This bubble bath powder has a delightful, mild vanilla fragrance which is very soothing. It also has almond oil, chamomile and rosemary leaf extracts to soften and nourish the skin. I’m saving it for a relaxing, romantic soak à deux 😉
HELLO EVERYBODY NATURE HOLIC BODY LOTION MILK
This is supposed to be an all natural body lotion made from organic goat milk. It also contains aloe vera, honey, lemon balm and spearmint extracts. The ingredients on the bottle are all in Korean so I can’t check if there are any nasties, but it seems unlikely that there would be. I haven’t opened this bottle yet coz I have other to finish off before I get to this.
PURE SMILE CHOOSY LIP SCRUB
With sugar, peach extracts, milk protein extracts, chamomile extracts and beeswax, this lip scrub promises to make your pucker smooth and nourished. It isn’t as granular as I would expect a scrub to be though. The texture is more like ghee, smooth but a bit grainy (those of you who make ghee at home would know what I mean by grainy texture) and I really like the mild, pleasant fragrance.
PURE SMILE MILK MASK PACK
A sheet mask that’s rich in milk protein nutrients to hydrate and smooth out skin and “replenish your complexion into a baby-face”. Sounds good.
SKIN CERAMIC DONKEY MILK AND ARGAN OIL MULTI STEAM CREAM
No chemical preservatives, no artificial fragrance, no artificial coloring! This cream is made from 100% organic argan oil and natural donkey milk which is supposed to be the most similar to mothers’ br*st milk. It has a light, whipped texture and is easily absorbed into the skin and has a very faint milky fragrance that vanishes almost instantly. I love the metal tin and the Donkey face logo too.
ENESTI RICE AND MILK FOAMING CLEANSER
A foam cleanser with rice and milk extracts. I’ve used this a couple of times now and like how gentle it is. It doesn’t remove makeup (neither does it claim to) but it does get rid of dirt, grime and sweat without drying the skin.
PURE SMILE CHOOSY LIP PACK MILK
Oooh, I’ve never tried a lip patch yet so I’m really excited to try this one out.
So tell me, whether you find yourself reaching out for the glass of milk or not, you certainly wont be able to resist reaching out for this Milk Box, right?
This is just my third box so far (read the review of the Memebox Whole Grain here) and trust me, it requires a tremendous will power not to go crazy ordering these tempting boxes. I’ve ordered two more boxes which will be reaching me around the third week of this month and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that customs doesn’t harass me again this time.
The Whole Grain and Milk Bundle cost me $53.99 including shipping (and a complimentary upgrade to express shipping) and I used 10 points effectively making it $43.99 (approximately Rs. 2700) which isn’t bad for a total of 15 products in these two boxes. Unfortunately, I also had to pay Rs. 930 as customs duty!!! But it is still worth the price as compared to the pathetic A Beautiful World Sampler Box (read about it
here).
