SkinMiso Pore Zero Night Cream Review

“I do not experiment with my skincare because I am a beauty blogger; I became a beauty blogger because I have always loved to experiment with my skincare.” – Me

Yes, that quote hasn’t been borrowed from anyone, those are my very own words. And very true too. My mom has always chided me for trying out various things on my face and feels that ultimately, that spoils the skin. But that’s just how I am.

Since the two months, I have been using, not very regularly, the Skinmiso Pore Zero Night Cream . The reason I mentioned not very regularly, is because there have been several instances recently when I have slept with the makeup on. Terrible I know. Also, during my weekend trips, I prefer to carry along samples rather than full-sized products such as this night cream. Anyway, here’s the

Packaging

The Skinmiso Pore Zero Night Cream comes in a white plastic jar with  light blue lettering on it. The snoozing crescent moon on it looks adorable and shows the Korean’s love for adding a little bit of cuteness one even the simplest of products. It doesn’t come with any spatula however, so you either scoop out the products with your fingers or use a spatula of your own (I do the latter). The one good thing about a jar is that you can see exactly how much of the product is left.

Who Should Use It? When To Use It?

As the name suggests, this is a night cream. One would think that since it is called Pore Zero, it would be meant for those with combination to oily skin prone to having enlarged pores. However, according to the product page on Wishtrend, it is meant for:

* Dull, uneven skintone.

* Dry, irritated skin.

* Tired, weakened skin.

Almost all of us would be able to relate our skin to some of those adjectives. I do have dull and uneven skintone and my skin is irritated at times though it isn’t dry. Though they haven’t mentioned oily skin types, based on my experience with this cream, I would say that it makes a good night cream for them as well.

Ingredients

Obviously, I wasn’t able to decipher this and I’m glad that the complete ingredient list is there on Wishtrend.

The Good?

SkinMiso Pore Zero Night Cream reivew

The Skinmiso Pore Zero Night Cream feels  cooling upon application. The first couple of times that I applied it, I also experienced a slight tingling on the sensitive skin around my mouth but thankfully, it didn’t irritate my skin or make it react. While the texture is quite thick, the cream doesn’t feel greasy at all and spreads onto the skin fairly easily. It does take a couple of minutes for the cream to get absorbed and while it does moisturise and hydrate the skin, it doesn’t make it look dewy or shiny. This is why I mentioned that it would work well for those with oily skin as well, especially since the cream also has witch hazel and peppermint extract.  Also, because of the thick texture, you need a really small quantity of product per use so this 80g jar will last you for at least 4-5 months!

The next morning, my skin looks refreshed and brighter, regardless of how many hours of sleep I have managed to get Also my T-zone, which is usually oily in the morning with the pores looking huge, isn’t as oily when I use this cream.The pores too, while visible don’t appear as huge. With most other night creams/sleeping masks, I need to rinse my face with water when I wake up which is something I don’t need to do with this cream. Another really good thing is that it hasn’t made me break out.

The Not So Good?

The first time I used the Pore Zero Night Cream, I felt like I was applying toothpaste onto my face! The texture and the minty fragrance both make you feel like this is toothpaste in a jar. It also claims to even out the skintone but it hasn’t really done that for my skin, neither has it helped in “whitening” or fading my acne marks.

To Sum It Up

The Skinmiso Pore Zero Night Cream is a good night cream for those with oily/combination skin types who find other night creams or sleeping masks to rich and greasy. This will not make your face oily and also gives it a fresh, bright look in the morning. It is recommended that you use the Pore Corset toner before this cream to really “tighten” the pores but I didn’t use it that way. Perhaps that is why I experienced just a slight improvement in the appearance of my pores. This cream doesn’t whiten or lighten either but it does moisturise well without causing breakouts. While girls with normal and dry skin can use this over a rich, hydrating serum, I would really recommend this night cream to girls with combination to oily skin.

  1. great review….I love Korean products a lot…even though its a nice pdt..that tingling sensation is kind of scary…dunno if this suits my skin…have to try a sachet sample first

  2. Seems like a good product… but for my dry skin I will prefer something which is more hydrating. Nicely reviewed dear..

  3. Mine is combination skin and my T zones become very oily every morning. This product will be my saviour now. :D. Surprisingly, this small tub lasts quite long. Thanks for this informative review.

    1. For your type of skin, you should try it out. Just don’t expect miracles with pores…no product can do that really 🙂

  4. I love to carry samples too, so i seem to hoard them more often 😀
