In the sweltering, hot, humid Indian summer, all we feel like doing is chilling with a glass of nimbu-pani during the day and a chilled mojito in the evening- basically something refreshing and lemony. And we need something similarly refreshing and rejuvenating for our skin as well when we shower. Keeping that in mind, Oriflame has recently launched a bath and body range in collaboration with Essence and Co – the Oriflame Essence&Co Lemon Verbena Range comprising of a hand wash, body wash and body lotion.
The Oriflame Essence&Co Lemon Verbena range comes in minimalist, elegant bottles with a pump dispenser. I find this to be the best sort of packaging for bath and body products because the bottles can stand upright on the bathroom shelf, you don’t have to struggle to open any tight, flip-top cap with wet fingers, you don’t need to turn the bottle upside down and inadvertently dispense more product than needed or dig your fingers in to scoop out the product. Yup, I love bottles with pump dispensers.
The bottles also have Essence&Co embossed on both sides of the bottle adding to the appeal. These bottles look deceivingly high end and you would be forgiven for thinking these are more expensive than they actually are. The combination of gold and brown for the cap and pump also adds to the elegance.
The Oriflame Essence&Co Lemon Verbena range has a very refreshing lemony-leafy fragrance that immediately reminded me of my holiday in Hong Kong. What’s the connection you ask? Well our hotel in Hong Kong, the Intercontinental Grand Stanford had Lemon Verbena toiletries by Agraria and this range by Oriflame smells almost identical to that. The fragrance is very fresh and zesty and perfect for a morning blast of “wake-me-up”.

This kind of lemony, zesty fragrance is my favourite for hand washes followed by lavender. My boys love this fragrance too and I also love that this doesn’t dry out the skin. After all, we need to wash our hands multiple times a day and we definitely don’t want a hand wash that dries out the skin.

Hubby and I have been using this body wash every day since we have received it and we both love it. It truly does freshen you up in the morning and just like the hand wash, doesn’t dry out my skin. While I have extremely dry skin on my body and need to apply body lotion everyday, with this one, even if I skip applying body wash, my skin feels comfortable.

This body lotion is absolutely perfect for the hot, humid summers. It is lightweight, gets absorbed instantly and gives light hydration to the skin without feeling sticky or greasy. The fragrance doesn’t last too long, though.
My View
The Oriflame Essence&Co Lemon Verbena Range is the perfect, refreshing bath and body range that is needed for summer. The fragrance is delightful and the textures light. My only gripe is that the delightful fragrance isn’t very long lasting even after layering the lotion over the body wash. I love the packaging of this range and hope that Oriflame launches a big sized refill pack so that we can fill these bottles from that. It would be an eco-friendly option too. These are also available at a discounted rate from the Oriflame representatives which makes them an absolute must-buy.

I too am in awe of the Lemon Agraria lotions……..had used them in a hotel in the E.U once
