In an earlier post, I reviewed 5 products from Dr. Sheth’s newly launched skincare range (check out the post here). This post is a continuation of that, and since there are so many products to talk about, I’ll just get on with the review…

This is a genius product and I love it! If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen me put this product in my handbag during my little trip last weekend. We were travelling by train after years and while I love train journeys, I dislike using the washrooms on the train. The Dr. Sheth’s On The Go Cleansing Spray was just perfect for a night-time quick cleanse before sleeping – just spray this, wipe off and apply the night cream. Simple and quick. I also used this to get the dust off my skin after our jungle safari.
But what I use this product for the most, is for my sons after their football class. I keep this bottle in the car and use the cleanser on their sweaty, muddy faces and refreshes them while cleansing their skin gently without leaving any sticky residue. I also spritz it on my face after my morning walk and follow it with the Protection Mist. The only thing one needs to be careful about is that you have to ensure that the eyes are tightly shut otherwise this cleanser can sting. Other than that, this is a wonderful product, small enough to be carried in the handbag and great for a quick on-the-go cleanse.

Indoor Protection Mist

“Infra-red and blue light from the computer and mobile screens can lead to pigmentation in Indian skin. Air conditioning can also dry it making it more prone to damage. Butterfly bush protects the skin against the harmful rays while wheat sugars counter the effect of air conditioning.”
This is another wonderful product that I use outdoors as well as indoors. Though it is an Indoor Protection Mist, I like to spray it on after cleansing my face with the On The Go Cleansing Spray for instant hydration at the times when I am unable to apply a proper moisturiser. While the cleansing spray doesn’t really dry out the skin, my skin does feel a little tight and dry after using it (I think my skin is getting drier these days) and so, I immediately follow it with a couple of spritz of this Protection Mist. It gives instant hydration and a dewy finish to my skin. I am sure it would work great as a setting spray too but haven’t tried it as that.

I have to admit, the Dr. Sheth’s Basic Brightening Youth Glotion turned out to be a bit disappointing for me. For some reason, it takes ages to get absorbed into my skin and I end up having to massage it for a couple of minutes for it to sink in (I don’t mind the massage bit but I honestly don’t have the time in the morning). I tried it over a toner / essence, I tried it just by itself straight after cleansing, I tried mixing a bit of this with the sunscreen but even that didn’t work. When it does finally get absorbed, it thankfully doesn’t feel sticky or oily. I haven’t tried it as a body lotion yet but will do so soon.
These days, my skin is anyway feeling a bit more dehydrated and dry so I prefer to use the Antioxidant Repair Cream (which is back in stock again and I got it recently so haven’t clicked pics) in the morning despite the recommended usage being shown as night cream. That cream is great for dry skin and hydrates without feeling greasy.

I count the Dr. Sheth’s Ultimate Brightening Youth Enhancer among my favourite night creams. I use this three times a week on top of the Gentle Peel and my skin looks fab in the morning – well rested, hydrated and fresh – regardless of the number of hours of sleep that I have actually got. It works great as an eye cream too, for me, perhaps because my undereye area is dehydrated and needs something rich. Others might find it a bit too heavy for the undereye area. There are minuscule “gold milliglowbules” (certainly not gold since that isn’t mentioned in the ingredients) that burst when you massage the face. Those might just be gimmicky but I do love the cream overall.
While this is rich and nourishing, it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy and, unlike the light lotion above, gets absorbed into the skin pretty fast. My skin is loving this thrice-a-week night time cocktail of the Daily Gentle Peel and the Ultimate Brightening Youth Enhancer . If you are looking for a night cream (anti-aging or otherwise), do give this a shot.

I absolutely love face masks of all kinds and have a nice collection of sheet masks stocked up in my refrigerator. I don’t have a picture of the Dr. Sheth’s Basic Brightening Sheet Mask because I used it up before I managed to make time to click these pictures. I have ordered more so when I get those, I shall show it on my Insta stories.
With sheet masks, the only benefit that is instantly visible is the hydration. My skin feels refreshed and plumped, especially since I keep the masks in the fridge. To be honest, I didn’t notice any brightening, neither did my skin look radiant after using this. Perhaps it needs to be used multiple times for any kind of effect to be seen? As of now, this is a product that didn’t impress me much.
So those were my thoughts on all the skincare products from Dr. Sheth’s – some really wonderful ones and a couple of ones that didn’t work for me. The innovative products like On The Go Cleanser and Indoor Protection Mist are really wonderful as are the Gentle Peel and the Ultimate Youth Enhancer. What I am really happy about is that most products are very effective and have been developed keeping in mind the Indian skin and climatic challenges that it faces.
