You can make out from the tube that this one is empty. It has been my HG face wash since March 2013 and finally got over last week! So yes, it’s really high time that I reviewed this product.
Here’s what Clarins says about this product:
Non-drying, creamy cleanser removes impurities, make-up and excess oil while respecting skin’s natural moisture balance. Softening Coconut extract nourishes and boosts skin’s radiance. Gentle formula neutralizes the drying effects of hard water. Rinses easily with cool water.
Packaging:
Comes in a very travel-friendly tube with a flip-top cap. I unfortunately don’t have the outer packaging to show you as almost all the outer cartons of beauty products, soaps, toothpastes are sent to one or the other son’s school for their projects/crafts etc.
Ingredients:
Acqua/water/eau; glycerin; stearic acid; myristic acid; potassium hydroxide; dimethicone; lauric acid; sodium lauroyl sarcosinate; tipa-laureth sulfate; glyceryl behenate; glycol distearate; ozokerite; parfum/fragrance; proplylene glycol; tetrasodium edta; alpha-glucan oligosaccharide; polymnia sonchifolia root juice; maltodextrin; gossypium herbaceum (cotton) seed extract; gypsophila paniculata root extract; lactobacillus; potassium sorbate; methylchloroisothiazolinone; methylisothiazolinone; bht; benzyl salicylate; butylphenyl methylpropional; limonene; linalool; cl 77891/titanium dioxide
Texture:
A thick, creamy, white face wash that really lathers well. I need just a pea-sized amount for my entire face and neck. It doesn’t have SLS but it does have sodium lauroyl sarcosinate which perhaps is responsible for the foaming action. This is really my favourite cleanser for the days I don’t have makeup on (which is almost daily) and when I’m wearing makeup, this is my step two cleanser after removing all the makeup. It has a very faint, clean fragrance that doesn’t linger and is quite pleasant.
I had bought this last December but the first time I used it was when I had just returned from my holiday in Rajasthan and this cleanser made my skin really dry. So I stashed it away and got it out in March when my skin came back to its combination avatar.
Combination skin along with Mumbai’s hot and humid weather needs a cleanser that will clean thoroughly and control oil without over-drying it. This Clarins face wash does just that. And my skin feels fresh and clean after using this and not dry and tight. Yes, I do need to apply a moisturiser soon after, but I feel that after using any cleanser anyway.
Price:
Rs. 1450 for a 125ml tube which lasted me for 8months. If that isn’t value for money, what is? Like I said, just a pea sized quantity is needed and that’s why one tube lasted me so long.
Have you tried this Clarins cleanser? Do you like it?
