Garnier Happy Hair Challenge – Final Update

Garnier Fructis Happy Hair Challenge

Towards the end of January,  I had taken up the Garnier Happy Hair Challenge in which I had to use the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition shampoo and conditioner for the entire month. I did use it for 30 days but completely forgot to give you an update. Did the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition range impress me? Read on to know…

When I started the challenge, this was the “health” of my hair:

  • Coloured
  • Dry
  • Frizzy
  • Hair fall

I didn’t expect a shampoo and conditioner to help out with the hair fall since that is because of the hair and scalps internal health. What I did want was for them to help with the dryness and the frizzyness so that I wouldn’t have to use other serums etc for that.

After a month’s of usage, the shampoo and conditioner did reduce the dryness and frizzyness, at least on the day I washed my hair. The next day, however, I found my scalp getting slightly greasy and the hair getting lanky, a problem I never faced with any other shampoos and conditioners earlier. And no, I don’t use the conditioner on my scalp or even near it. I reduced the quantity of the conditioner I used but my hair still felt the same the next day.

The Triple Nutrition range claims to work on the scalp, the lengths and the tips of the hair, hence the name. It did indeed work well on the lengths and the tips but unfortunately, it made my scalp feel a bit greasy.

In terms of packaging and fragrance of the products, the Triple Nutrition range is almost identical to the Long and Strong range. While the Triple Nutrition is packaged in yellow bottles, the Long and Strong one is in green bottles.

The texture of the conditioner (on the left in the pic) and the shampoo (on the right) is the same as that of the Long and Strong range. It also has a very pleasant fruity fragrance that isn’t very overpowering but is quite mild.

The shampoo and conditioner are priced at ₹135 for 175ml each. At this price, it is really a very good economy product for girls who have extremely dry hair. Use less conditioner to avoid a greasy scalp. Or perhaps, I’m the only one who faced that issue.

While this range is really good for the price, it didn’t totally wow me. What about you? Have you used the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition shampoo and conditioner? What’s your opinion of this range?
