Wish these were my Monday blues: endless cups of tea in the company of the majestic Kanchanjunga 🏔️ Take me back already!!

Here are some fun facts about the Kanchanjunga:

* Kanchenjunga, a part of the Himalayan range, is located on the border of Sikkim and Nepal. The name in Sanskrit, literally means “Golden Thigh” or mountain in this case, as it looks like molten gold at sunrise.

* The name Kanchenjunga comes from four Tibetan words that translate to “Five Treasuries (or Strongboxes) of the Great Snow” or “Great Five-Peaked Fortress of Snow”.

* The area around Kangchenjunga is said to be home to a mountain deity, called Dzö-nga or “Kangchenjunga Demon”, a type of yeti or rakshasa.

* Towering at 8,586m (26,169ft) above sea level, it is the world’s third highest mountain.

* Since this mountain is considered sacred, no mountaineers have ascended to the actual summit and hence, it is also called a Virgin peak.

* The Kanchanjunga National Park, home to nearly half of India’s bird diversity, wild trees, orchids and rhododendrons and one third of the country’s flowering plants, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I seem to be having a “sweet fragrance” phase

I seem to be having a “sweet fragrance” phase because I impulse-purchased the Victoria’s Secret Tease Sugar Fleur based only on the fragrance notes (all thanks to late night Insta scrolling).

Tease Sugar Fleur is a fun, bright fragrance that opens with a burst of fresh, tart apples and sweet bubblegum. It is such a yummy combination that you can almost taste both those notes! Once it settles down a bit, the sweetness of caramel and jasmine wrap you up in this soft, seductive cloud, while the warm amber and sandalwood gives it depth and prevent it from smelling juvenile. On my skin, the jasmine is very subtle while the caramel is prominent but on my clothes, the jasmine does come through a wee bit more.

It’s a cheerful fragrance and one that I’m really enjoying in this cooler weather, but i only wish it lasted longer. On me, it lasts for about 2-3 hours and then becomes more intimate (so people can still smell you if they lean in for a hug). Perhaps letting it sit for a bit might help improve its longevity.

Overall, I’d say this fragrance is quite a mood-lifter - it’s fun, it’s cheerful, a bit flirty, and quite irresistible. Not syrupy sweet, but a juicy sweet with a bit of tartness and warmth as well, and perfect for fun Sunday brunches, girls nights out and movie dates.
