Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayons Cashmere and Brunette – Review and Swatches

Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon Review and swatches

The Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayons (reviewed here)were the first products that I had tried from Faces and the ones that impressed me with their amazing quality and pricing. Not only are these crayons extremely soft, creamy and pigmented, they are also the most comfortable matte lipsticks that I have tried. And now, they have launched 10 new shades in these Matte Lip Crayons of which I have two of the most au-courant  shades – Cashmere and Brunette.

About the Faces Ultime Pro Lip Crayon

Price ₹799 . Available here.

“A collection of lip crayons featuring timeless matte and starry matte shades with superior colour pigment and hydration. Dresses up lips in statement shades with rich colour, bright pigments while being super comfortable on the lips.”

The one thing that I love about Faces products is that they really live up to their claims. These lip crayons truly are pigmented and super comfortable. In fact, they are so soft and creamy, that I even use the shade Peach Me as a blush for a “flushed-from-within” look! Check out these pictures below!

Anyway, coming back to the shades Cashmere and Brunette…

Unlike the Faces Ultime Pro Creme Lip Crayons that come in a retractable packaging, the Matte ones come as a normal crayon that needs to be sharpened. Of course, each crayon also comes with it’s own sharpener so you don’t need to hunt around for a sharpener to match the thickness of the crayon.

The shade Cashmere is a beautiful creamy light brown – the colour of perfectly made coffee – and is perfect for daily wear. It would suit fair to medium skin tones though I think it would wash out those deeper than NC42 since it appears lighter on the lips than it does in the crayon. It is very pigmented and one swipe gives complete opaque coverage even on pigmented lips. Faces Ultime Pro Lip Crayon Cashmere is a great MLBB (my lips but better) for me and is a very versatile shade.

Brunette, true to it’s name, is a beautiful rich, dark cocoa brown. On my lips, it appears to be brown with a tint of burgundy. This is a shade that is very trendy at the moment and one that would suit ALL skintones. What I love most about it is that while it is a deep, dark shade, it also brightens up your face even if you don’t have any other makeup on.  There are several dark shades that aren’t very easy to carry off. This one is just the opposite. It would look great on everyone, even those with thin lips like mine.

My Views

The Faces Ultime Pro Lip Crayons have been a favourite since they were launched and now I am totally in love with these two new shades. Cashmere and Brunette, both are gorgeous shades with both being at the opposite ends of the spectrum – one light and one dark. The texture is soft and creamy, they don’t feel drying on the lips like other matte lipsticks do and have a good wear time of 4-5 hours for the lighter shades to 6-8 hours for the darker ones. I highly recommend these crayons especially these two new shades which are so trendy at the moment.
