Yesterday was an eventful day (pun intended), with two events back-to-back.

First, the launch of @doveindiachannel ‘s new Glycolic Hydration range consisting of a shampoo, conditioner & a leave-in serum spray.

The next event was with one of my favourite beauty brands, @pixibeauty to celebrate the Swedish Midsummer Day, a super fun event with @colleennicole26 & @shivani2016 . And of course, it’s always fun catching up with my beauty girl gang 💖🤗

Trying out the #SunsetBlush trend and I have to say it looks super pretty! I did over blend it a bit so didn’t get that ombré effect but love anyway. This is one trend that will look great on Indian skin tones because shades of orange / coral / dark pink, all look fab on our skin tone. The products I used are:

#AnantRadhikaWedding is done and a lot of people are questioning Radhika’s choice of colour for her wedding outfit. What she has worn is an interpretation of a traditional Panetar - a white / cream saree with red & gold accents traditionally worn by Gujarati brides.
The Panetar symbolises prosperity, marital bliss, and fertility and is usually gifted to the bride by her maternal uncle (मामा).
The white stands for purity, while the red represents love and
relationships. The bride wears the Panetar when she comes to garland the groom. She then goes back, and before coming to the mandap for pheras, wears one more saree along with the Panetar, the Gharchola (not shown in this reel).
The Gharchola is a red / maroon bandhani saree, gifted to the bride by her mother-in-law as a way of welcoming the bride into her new home.
While these pictures aren’t from my wedding, (they’re from a shoot I did a couple of years after my wedding) the saree here is my Panetar - instead of a traditional silk saree, I chose a cream brocade one with maroon brocade border & gold zardozi & kundan work done on it.

While motherhood does change your body, nothing comes close to the havoc that perimenopause wreaks!

Seeing these pics from 2013, when I was 34, has made me realise how much my body changed once I hit my 40s.

As someone who has always been very slender, even after having 2 kids, the weight gain and thickening waistline really bothered me and, I’ll admit, also affected my confidence to some extent. But I’ve learnt now, to not let it affect me…it’s a natural progression. All you can do is eat healthy, exercise regularly and gracefully accept the changes. Also, do not compare yourselves with your friends / relatives, because each woman’s body is different.

Just wanted to share this with you in case any of you are also going through the same.

I have loved Innisfree products since before they

I have loved Innisfree products since before they launched in India and till date, it is one my favourite Kbeauty brands. So of course, when Innisfree has an event, I go for it, even if it means going straight from a wedding on a rainy day.

While nearly all of their products are fabulous, my personal favourites are the Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask (works great as a spot treatment too), the Hyaluron Moist Sunscreen (great for dry skin), the Black Tea Ampoule (highly recommend if you’re 35+) & the Retinol Cica Repair Ampoule (I use it just twice a week). Innisfree also had the most amazing foundations, and in fact, were the first to launch the Cushion Foundations in India (you can read my blog posts on them)! So requesting @innisfreeofficial @innisfreeindia & @minisoodbanerjee to re-launch those incredible foundations.

On my wish list are the Black Tea Oil, No Sebum Blur Primer & the Hair Strength Tonic Essence.

Of course, the most fun part about these events is discussing all things beauty & skincare with my beauty girls 💚💚
