Firstly, I have a confession to make…I have sinned…big time!!! Thrice during the Diwali week, I went to bed……..without removing my makeup *shudders*, *wails*. I know all of you are cringing at this big no-no but well, to my defence, it was terribly late at night and I was EXHAUSTED!!!
Well, my skin was terribly upset with this transgression and punished me by being listless and dull and spotty. That’s when I realised that it needed not a physical exfoliant, but a chemical one.
Enter Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant.
I had won a Dermalogica skin kit in August this year (my pre-blogging days) and since it was a Normal-Dry skin kit (and my skin is oily during the monsoons), I had stashed it away for use in winter.
I have not tried any products from this kit but I thought the enzyme-based Gentle Cream Exfoliant might be able to help my skin.
Here’s what Dermalogica has to say about this product:
Dramatically improve skin texture with this two-in-one masque/exfoliation treatment. Non-abrasive formula contains Lactic Acid and Hydroxy Acid to help detach dead skin cells, increasing cell renewal while improving texture for dramatically smooth skin. Formulated without artificial fragrances and colors. Apply a thin layer over cleansed skin, avoiding the lip and nostril area. Use care around the delicate eye area as well. Let activate for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse well.
I used it as directed, left it on for about 15 minutes and then removed it with a wet washcloth (that’s my preferred method of removing face masks).
This exfoliator is like a thick white cream, a bit dry in texture and feels slightly cool while applying. Because it is enzyme based, I thought it might tingle a bit but I felt nothing of that sort. I quite enjoyed the cooling sensation.
And once I had rinsed it off my face………what a difference!!! I never expected to see so much improvement in my skin in just one application!!! My skin was cleaner and clearer, brighter too, the spots had subsided and overall, it looked radiant!!! *dances with glee*
For me, this turned out to be quite a miracle worker! The tube in this kit is a teeny 10gm tube but when it runs out, I’m buying the normal sized one for sure!!!
Have you tried this exfoliant before?
