“Swanicoco non-toxic peeling gel gently yet thoroughly removes all black heads, dead skin cells and residues in your pores without irritating event he most sensitive skin types. At the same time, high concentrate of snail extract effectively soothes and nourishes your skin and brings back the skin’s natural glow.”
Sorry, the writing isn’t too clear. It says this gel uses “soft natural cellulose, snail mucus extract and Sophora Flavescens Root Extract, Avena Strigosa seed extract, Coix Lacryma-Jobi, Ma-yuen seed extract, Fagus Sylvatica Bark extract, Allantoin and Magnolia Sieboldii Flower Oil”. Impressive ingredient list, isn’t it?
The Swanicoco is a thick, opaque gel with a really pleasant fragrance. It feels cool and soothing while applying but starts pilling instantly. Like one reader suggested, I apply a thick layer on my face, leave it on for about 10 minutes, rub it off with my fingers rinse off with cool water and done. There’s no dryness, no grittiness, no pulling of the skin. Just really soft, smooth skin.
While this exfoliant doesn’t really remove blackheads, it does leave my face much cleaner, brighter and, like I said, smoother. I use this once a week (scared of overdoing the exfoliation), usually on a friday evening or saturday morning as a prep for the weekend. My skincare products seem to get absorbed faster and more easily for a couple of days after using this. And my skin also seems to be a better canvas for makeup because foundation too goes on quite smoothly (I don’t use a primer anyway).
The retail price for this 100ml tube of Swanicoco Snail Gommage Peeling is $25 and I’m definitely going to buy more of these when I finish up with this.
The Memebox from Nature is sold out now but I’m really hope they come out with version 2 of this box. Actually, no! Because I have four boxes that have still to come, and just one face, one head and one body on which to use soooooo many products :p
