Merry Christmas everyone!
I had done a “Christmasy” look with The Body Shop Lip and Cheek Tint a couple of days ago and showed you one picture from that look.
I wanted to incorporate the Christmas colours of red and green in a very wearable makeup look. While there are girls who can carry off an emerald green smokey eye with a red lip, I don’t think I would be able to carry off that sort of a bold look, so I stuck to something more subtle for the eyes, more wearable and certainly, quick. So here’s the Christmas FOTD makeup breakdown….
Foundation: L’Oreal Nude Magique in 320 Natural Beige
Concealer: MAC Select Moisture Cover in NC35
Eyeshadow: L’Oreal Chrome Shine in Sepia Sparkle
Mascara: Maybelline Colossal Volum’ Express
Lipstain: The Body Shop Lip and Cheek Doll
Fuss-free, isn’t is? These are ALL the products I have used! And as we all know, the fewer the products we use, the faster we can get ready and be out of the house. Anyway, if you are a mom, you get used to a super-quick makeup application.
Here’s a closeup of the eyes.
I LOVE Sepia Sparkle. You can’t really make out from the picture, but this eyeshadow, true to it’s name, is quite “sparkly”. It looks gorgeous even when worn by itself and even if you don’t combine it with any other colour.
The Tarte liner is a blackened green and is very smooth and pigmented. I did’t wear any other kohl/liner along with this. Don’t you think this is a very wearable and “subtle” way of pairing green with red?
What did you think of this look? Do let me know in the comments.
