While I was changing the blog layout and sorting through the old posts, I realised that I had never done a “Favourites” post! So here’s a list of my top 10 beauty favourites which includes skincare, haircare and beauty products – some of which are my all-time favourites while others, are what my fickle heart (in case of beauty products only) loves at the moment.
So here are my current Top 10 Beauty Favourites:
- Wella Elements Shampoo and Conditioner
- Vichy Liftactiv Supreme
- The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel
- Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 310 Sun Beige
- Sugar Cosmetics Stroke of Genius Kohl in Back to Black
- MAC Cosmetics Fluid Line Pencil in Earth Sign
- Mirenesse Mattfinity Lip Rouge in London
- Chambor Extreme Wear Transferproof Liquid Lipstick in 401
- Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce EDP
Let’s take a look at each of these…
Wella Elements Shampoo and Conditioner
Ever since I started using the Wella Elements shampoo and conditioner in June, it has become my favourite. Not only mine, but hubby’s as well. I love how gentle the shampoo is and yet how effectively it cleans my hair without stripping it of all the natural oils. And the conditioner is lightweight yet hydrating. You can check out my detailed review here for more information on these sulfate-free, paraben-free haircare products.
Vichy Liftactiv Supreme
This is my “one-step” skincare when I don’t have time to apply a separate serum and moisturiser. It has hyaluronic acid to help combat dehydration and aging as well. Since the last fortnight, I have been stressed due to both boys falling ill and my skin has been reacting to that stress. The Vichy Liftactiv Supreme is a no-fuss skincare product that I always reach out for when I don’t have much time for my skincare.
The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel
I have honestly lost count of how many bottles of The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel I have finished and re-ordered. No just me, my entire family – kids and in-laws included – LOVES the fresh, zingy, citrusy fragrance of this shower gel that refreshes you in the morning and wakes you up even if you are sleep deprived.
Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce EDP
The Abercrombie & Fitch FIERCE EDP is a recent addition to my fragrance wardrobe and one that I’m quite addicted to these days. If you are a regular reader of my blog, you would know that I love fragraces that are sensuous and sexy and FIERCE is just that. It is a very unique, very sexy fragrance that is a blend of aquatic, floral and woody. Let me know if you would like me to do a detailed review on this fragrance.
Makeup
Since there were 5 products, I decided to club them all under this one heading. These are some of the best makeup products and I find myself reaching out for these most frequently.
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 310 Sun Beige – A fabulous, super affordable foundation that gives a beautiful natural-looking satin finish with moderate coverage. It doesn’t look cakey, blends very well and gives a soft matte look to the skin. What’s not to love!
Sugar Stroke of Genius Kohl – As I mentioned in the review post I did on this product, the Sugar Stroke of Genius Kohl is the softest, creamiest, blackest kohl I have ever used and I love the texture, longevity and pigmentation of this kohl.
MAC Fluid Line Pencil in Earth Sign – A brown eye pencil that actually shows up on my pigmented lids, I love using Earth Sign for the times when I want a bit of definition to my eyes but not the stark black line. It has great pigmentation and once it sets, it just doesn’t budge.
Mirenesse Mattfinity Lip Rouge in London – One of my favourite red lipsticks, the Mirenesse Mattfinitiy is a liquid lipstick that has a soft mousse-like texture, insane pigmentation and great lasting power. The shade London is a beautiful deep crimson red that would look lovely on almost all skintones and I love the way it looks on me.
Chambor Extremewear Transferproof Liquid Lipstick in 401 – Though I find this lipstick very drying, I love the colour and the weightless feel so each time I want a nude lip, I find myself reaching out for this one (layered with tons of lip balm underneath it, of course).

Is this Wella element conditioner good for curly hair?
It works on wavy hair for sure.
The vichy liftactive sounds great. Is it suitable for combination acne prone skin ?
That’s exactly what my skin is like. And this serum works wonders coz my skin is also dehydrated. It never broke me out nor made my face extra greasy.
