The three Vitamin E products that I added to my skincare regime are:

  • The Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser
  • The Body Shop Vitamin E  Moisture-Protect Emulsion
  • The Body Shop Vitamin E  Intense Moisture Cream

I have been using these three products daily since the last fortnight and I. Am. Impressed! A couple of days ago, I went live on Facebook to show my night-time skincare routine and these products were shown there as well. In case you haven’t seen the video, you can see it here:

Let’s take a look at each product:

The Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser

Price: ₹995 for 250ml

The Body Shop Vitamin E Range review

A light, creamy cleanser with protective Vitamin E and moisturising wheatgerm oil that effectively removes impurities and makeup. Leaves skin feeling smooth, soft and more supple.

I have been using this every night to cleanse my face and, as you must have seen in the video, it doesn’t dry my skin AT ALL ! It cleanses all makeup, though I don’t use it to remove eye-makeup and lipstick. Instead of a cotton pad as recommended, I remove it with a wet cotton washcloth and it does remove my makeup without drying out the skin. It doesn’t leave any kind of residue either nor does it dry out  my skin. With most other cleansers, I need to apply moisturiser almost as soon as I finish cleansing but this one leaves my skin  comfortable and soft so I don’t need to rush to apply moisturiser.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser comes in pretty pink bottle with a fip-top cap. It has a delightful creamy fragrance simlar to baby lotion which adds to the sensorial experience.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Protect Emulsion

Price ₹1,495 for 50ml

The Body Shop Vitamin E Range review

I. LOVE. THIS. MOISTURISER!!! I absolutely, simply, totally LOVE it. Need I say more? Ok, I guess I need to explain why I love it.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Protect Emulsion is so light and so hydrating that it is the perfect solution for my combination, dehydrated skin. Thanks to the hyaluronic acid (one of my favourite ingredients in skincare), it gives the much needed hydration to my skin without making it oily or greasy. And the hyaluronic acid in it is bio-fermented from wheat! The moisturiser sinks into the skin within seconds and keeps it soft, comfortable and smooth. It also has SPF 30 PA+++ which gives sun protection that is much-needed in our sunny country.

As I mentioned, it has a very light, runny texture and all I need is two pumps for my entire face. I even use it around my eyes and don’t feel the need to use  a separate eye cream. Another two pumps for my neck and that’s it. Because it gets absorbed so quickly and makes my skin so soft, plumped and smooth, it even makes my makeup sit better on the skin. Basically, it is just WOW.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream

Price ₹1195 for 50ml

The Body Shop Vitamin E Range review

I had actually bought this for the boys for when we travel because their cheeks and noses become very dry and rough in winter. Since our holiday is still some time away, I decided to try it around my mouth because that area is very sensitive, prone to dermatitis and skin flaking. And this Intense Moisture Cream has turned out to be a marvellous on that super dry area. As you can see in that video, I use it around my mouth as well as aound my eyes where, again, I need more hydration. If you have very dry skin, I highly, highly recommend this as a night cream or even a day cream should you need it.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Range review

Though it is so intensely moisurising, it is not the slightest bit greasy nor does it feel heavy on the skin. There have been a few days when I wore it on my entire face and neck as a night cream and when I woke up, my skin was super soft and smooth and hydrated. So much so that my younger son kept pulling my cheeks and saying “Mama, your cheeks are like mine”!
