Lakme has recently launched a new range of lip products – the Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons comprising of 10 affordable, vibrant shades. Of the 10, I have 5 shades that I have been trying out and here is my review of these cute little lippies…
About the Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons
Price ₹185 / 2.2g. Available here.
“The iconic Lakme Enrich range is getting a fun addition with an all-new format and design. The Enrich Lip Crayons will bring back the same soft matte texture with the inconvenience of a sharpenable crayon making it easy to line and fill in the lips on the go. The Lip Crayons come in 10 vibrant colours – from shades of reds, pinks and browns to soft nudes.”
Those of you who are watchers, rather than readers, might prefer to see the review and swatches in my video here:
The Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons have a soft matte finish rather than a powder matte one. They are very comfortable to wear, though they do feel dry on the first application. In fact, I could compare the texture of these lip crayons with that of actual crayons. However, from the second application onwards, they don’t tug as much on the lips.
These lipsticks last for around 5 hours, depending on what you eat / drink. They aren’t completely opaque either and your natural lip colour does show through.
This range comprises of 10 shades of which I have the following 5:
- 01 Berry Red
- 02 Red Stop
- 03 Candid Coral
- 07 Shocking Pink
- 09 Cinnamon Brown
Here are more details on each of these 5 shades
Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon 01 Berry Red
This is a pretty, bright, post-box red that would look good on all skin tones. The colour is comparable to the shade Crimson in the crayons that we use for colouring. And here’s how it looks on me.
Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon 02 Red Stop
This is a more warm-toned red with a touch of vermillion in it. Again, this shade would suit all skin tones.
Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon 03 Candid Coral
A bright, coral-orange colour, this is actually a nice shade for the summers as well as for a dreary, grey monsoon day. It would suit fair to medium skintones. Personally, I am not too fond of orange lipstick shades, though.
Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon 07 Shocking Pink
This is a very pretty, berry pink colour that instantly brightens up your face. Again a shade that would look good on everybody.
Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon 09 Cinnamon Brown
Seeing the packaging and the shade name, I had thought that this one would be a dark brown shade. Contrary to expectations, it is a soft, muted brown that would serve as the perfect MLBB shade for most girls. It is a very versatile, wearable colour and along with Shocking Pink, my favourite of the lot.
