The Body Shop Skin Defence Essence SPF 50 PA++++ Review

TBS Skin Multi Protection Essence SPF50

Just when one of my favourite hydrating moisturiser + sunscreen combo, The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Protect Emulsion, got over and I was about to buy another bottle, a new hydrating sunscreen was launched – The Body Shop Skin Defence Essence SPF 50 PA++++. This new addition to the Drops of Light range came just in time to help combat the fierce summer sun. I even took it along with me on my holiday to New Zealand, because, though it was autumn there, the sunshine is really bright and you need a broad spectrum sunscreen when you’re out all day. Read on to know more about this wonderful new product from The Body Shop…

The Body Shop Multi-Protection Skin Defence Essence SPF 50 PA++++ (what a mouthful that is!) comes conveniently packaged in a travel-friendly tube with a screw on cap. It is small and compact and can be slipped into a clutch or a sling bag for on the go application as well. The tube has a small nozzle-like opening that is good for controlling the quantity of product that you squeeze out from the tube.

TBS Skin Multi Protection Essence SPF50 Review

True to claims,  this skin defence essence is truly light-weight and just perfect for the hot, humid weather. It is also perfect for the cold weather since it layers wonderfully over other serums that I use. There is no heavy, sticky feeling neither does it give a total matte look. This can be used by all skin types though, if your skin is extra dry, you might need to layer a hydrating serum under it. The best part is, despite having high SPF, it doesn’t leave behind a white cast on the face. What’s not to love?

As you have probably realised by now, I really love The Body Shop Skin Defence Multi-Protection Essence. Yes, as with all The Body Shop products, this too is priced on the higher side, but it works wonderfully and is prefect for travel too.

Have you tried this Multi-Protection essence? What are your views on it? Let me know in the comments.
