FASHION | Beach Style With A Playsuit

Playsuit - The Bombay Brunette

I have to say I’m a total mountain girl in love with the mountains and the cool breezes. Heat, on the other hand, brings out the worst in me – leave me on a hot, sunny beach for a few hours and you’ll have a cranky crab who’s ready to snap and bite. Sometimes though, I do give in to the lure of the cool, blue waters and shimmering sands. And what I enjoy wearing the most on a beach is a fun playsuit.

Jumpsuits and their younger siblings, playsuits are super comfortable (except when you’ve got to pee) and I absolutely love wearing them. This blue playsuit with floral and paisley print is one of my current favourites.

It has a flowy style that skims over the curves, camouflages the bulges and looks sporty and feminine at the same time. The fluid fabric also helps keep me relatively cool under the hot sun.

The back of this playsuit reaches mid-back in a V shape and has a drawstring with a tassle to keep the shoulders from slipping down. There are no buttons or zippers to fuss around with here – it’s a fuss-free slip-on-and-go outfit that’s perfect for holidays.

If you’re heading out for dinner, all you need to do is slip on  a denim shirt over it and some metallic heels or wedges and you’ll look a bit less casual.

As you probably know by now, my personal style is very minimalist and I usually prefer wearing real jewelry over loading up on fashion jewelry. You could, however accessorise this playsuit with stacks of bracelets or even a dainty anklet. I chose just a wide, floppy hat and my favourite Michael Kors sunglasses to complete this look.
