After much deliberation and apprehension, I finally took the plunge and shopped on Shein. I kept seeing a lot of friends wearing some amazing pieces from the site but was unsure of the fit, quality etc. I did ask my friends for their opinion on Shein before I finally placed the order. When I finally got my order and put up a picture on Instagram of me wearing one of the outfits, I received several DMs asking me about the shopping experience, the quality of the fabric, the fit etc. And so, I decided to do this blog post on my Shein haul.

Tie Neck Ruffle Trim Contrast Binding Top

This is a very pretty, feminine top with flutter sleeves, white piping and a tie-up neck. The material is nice and soft and thankfully, not see through.
Applique Cuff Pearl Embellished Dress
Size S
This is an LBD with a difference – a pretty, black shift with bell sleeves and pearl embellishments all over the front. The bell sleeves have lace with little floral appliqués on it making this dress stand apart from other LBDs.
The material of this dress is really nice – not too thick, not too thin, a little bit of stretch. It is very comfortable to wear and looks cute too.
Size M
I usually don’t wear jackets and blazers but I really liked this light blue tweed one. It has a very nice try-colour trim all over as well as on the pockets. The material is pretty good and so is the finishing and it’s a nice addition to your wardrobe.
The jacket has quite a snug fit so if you plan to wear it buttoned up, then order a size larger.
Button Split Front Flare Maxi Dress

This is my favourite item from Shein. I absolutely loved this dress – the material, the fit, the print – just about everything is fabulous. It has buttons down the front and an empire waist.
The sizing for this dress runs a bit large. I am wearing a “Small” here but I feel an XS would have also worked perfectly.
Besides these garments, I also bought a pair of wedges and 3 pairs of earrings. I haven’t clicked pictures of those but you can see them in my video.
My Experience with Shein
I was very impressed with Shein – the site is easy to navigate, I have the app on my phone which is even easier. My order reached me in just 3 days and when I had to return two products, that was fuss-free and quick too! They have multiple payment options but since this was the first time I was shopping with them, I opted for COD (cash on delivery). Thankfully, I was not charged any customs duty either.
