Anyway, L’Oreal recently asked me if I’d do a makeup + outfit post using products from their latest L’Or Lumiere collection. I usually stay away from such posts since I know the photographs come out really bad but this seemed like a really interesting challenge and so I agreed. So then, they sent me a Gelmatic Super Liner in Silver Mania as well as a Color Riche Moist Mat lipstick in Orange Power.
Now silver and orange is an unusual combination and one that wouldn’t really go with my skintone (the silver especially) but I dug out my indigo ombre silk-chiffon dress that I had bought years ago in Paris and did very simple, quick (you know me…makeup has to be quick) makeup.
It is a beautiful crinkled dress with black embellishments at the empire-line, an asymmetrical hem and ruffles down the front. Very elegant, fits beautifully, skims over my curves and yes, it is something I would wear (if invited) to the red carpet (since I don’t have the best designers of the world just waiting to dress me in their creations).

The L’Oreal Gelmatic liner in Silver Mania is a really bright silver and it would look horrid on me if I used it as a liner (will review it in detail later). So I smudged a bit on my finger and dabbed it on my upper lid like I would with a cream eyeshadow. Then I used a black gel liner to create a thick line on the upper lid followed by one coat of mascara.
Lips
L’Oreal Color Riche Moist Mat in Orange Power
The L’Oreal Moist Mat lipsticks are exactly that…matte but creamy. They are very pigmented, don’t dry out the lips and last for hours (detailed review later)!!! Orange Power is a true Orange colour that is so au courant this season. It would look gorgeous on the red carpet and I wonder why nobody wore this colour. There were red lips and n*de lips but no orange lips.

LOVE the dress, it is my favourite colour. It was a great idea to use the silver liner as a background against the black gel liner. What is wrong with your pictures? You should see mine hahaha.
