Vellvette completed a year of successfully delivering beauty subscription boxes in India. Some were a hit, some were a miss and some were somewhere in-between. But just like any baby in its first year, Vellvette surmounted teething problems and continued learning and growing. And since this was its first “anniversary” box, everyone was really eager to know what the contents were.
Vellvette gave in to our demands for a bag and replaced the black box with a cute little polka-dotted bag (reminiscent of Minnie Mouse’s dress) for their anniversary. And to build up the suspense, they did not give a single hit or peek into what products our bags would contain. The first bags started showing up on Tuesday. I didnt get mine. More girls got their bags on Wednesday. I still didnt get mine. On Thursday, finally, I got my courier and leaving my lunch halfway, I got up and ripped open the package. Here’s what I got…..

I read reviews of enchantess bags where ppl had got neutrogena samples and decided to stay away. The L&B does seem nice. Lets see how the eyeshadows are.
What ur sayin is right, u see two bags n u know what ur gonna get in urs, the only customisation being probably the colours. But to be fair to them, they have also been giving samples of Sisley n H2O plus. Yea, I miss the perfume samples too. And I did expect the sept bag to be WOW, which it wasnt, it was just nice. Hope Vellvette reads this.

I have been one of the strongest advocates for Velvette since they started…but I will say I’m very disappointed with them now….esp seeing the Sept bag. I got the bright palette from Beauty UK and it has zero pigmentation. And lord n berry and organic surge is not something that I want frm them. From getting Clinique to Lush to Ofra we have been reduced to getting this. Btw that Motives palette was launched in 2004. That is wut was sent to us in 2012. They might have survived but it is sad to see them go downhill….I’m waiting for my sub to get over.
