Luxury Watch Trends For Women For 2015

As far as accessories are concerned, I am a minimalist. Solitaires on my ears and fingers and  a sleek diamond bracelet is what you’ll usually find me wearing. Watches, however, are the one accessory I absolutely love and though there are people who feel that wrist watches are redundant since everyone has a cell phone that tells the time, I feel that is the one accessory that speaks loads about a person’s personality. And with choices galore, choosing elite watches for oneself can be a daunting task. Here are some luxury watch trends for 2015 to help you choose your timepiece…

Classic

Understated and elegant, these watches will never get outdated. Usually minimalist, there are also some which are subtly opulent with a glint of diamonds or perhaps sapphires. While some classic watches do have Arabic numerals, personally, I feel the charm of a classic watch lies in the Roman numerals on the dial. Or perhaps, the lack of them.

 Sporty

The trend for big chunky watches has been around since quite a few years now and doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to fade away. Characterised by big, masculine dials usually with a chronograph or, if not, then at least a date function to fill up space on the big dial, these watches are attention seekers. And no, they don’t really look masculine, they look powerfully feminine.

Animal Inspired

Each year sees the luxury watch makers launch animal inspired watches. Some, like the Bvlgari Serpenti and Cartier Panthere are timeless and are given a new avatar each year, others come out with a different animal, sometimes for a cause or just as an inspiration.

Rose Gold

Just like in the world of makeup, the world of watches too, can’t seem to have enough of this blush-tinted hue. Rose gold still is quite a favourite trend, whether by itself or combined with a leather strap or steel. A smattering of diamonds or crystals would just be the icing on the cake.

Rainbow Colours

Your choice in watches needn’t be monochromatic. Luxury watches are available in a wide spectrum of hues to suit one’s moods. From a bold red to pristine white to feminine pink, you can take your pick.

 

And as for me, my current favourite is watch that is sporty, blue and has rose gold accents….
