Current Favourite Fragrances

Current favourite fragrances

It’s been quite a while since I reviewed any fragrance on the blog, so to make up for that, here are 7 of my current favourite fragrances. Most of the fragrances I like are fruity-floral with a sensuous base and notes of amber, berries and vanilla. Of course, perfumes  are a very subjective thing with each person having distinctive choices. What one might love, another might not like. Keeping that in mind, here are my 7 current favourite fragrances….

YSL Cinema EDP

YSL Cinema EDP

One of my favourite fragrances, this is a limited edition of YSL Cinema EDP – a sparkling one with little gold shimmer particles. It is a very sensuous fragrance (which is the kind of fragrance I prefer). I first bought this bottle in 2006 and have loved it since. While this sparkling version might not be available, I think  the normal EDP is.

Bvlgari Omnia Indian Garnet EDT

Bvlgari Omnia Indian Garnet

This is a wonderfully warm, exotic, sensuous fragrance that I love. It is a rich, woody-floral fragrance which comes in a very pretty bottle characteristic of the Omnia range. With top notes of mandarin and saffron, heart notes of Indian tuberose and osmanthus and base notes of Indian woods and amber, this is one fragrance you should try out.

United Dreams Stay Positive

The fact that I am on my third bottle of United Dreams Stay Positive says a lot about how much I love this fragrance. This is a very fresh yet sensuous fragrance and one that, for some reason, reminds me of Indian weddings on a cool winter’s day. Not only does it smell wonderful, it is super affordable too!

United Dreams Love Yourself

United Dreams Love Yourself

Somehow, I have never liked fragrances with distinct notes of rose in them. Till recently. United Dreams Love Yourself and the Estee Lauder Modern Muse Le Rouge are two rose based fragrances that I love. This one is a sweet floral – though not a sticky, cloying sweet – and the combination of rose and amber notes in this are what appeal to me. Again, a very affordable fragrance and great for everyday wear.

Check out the video to know the story of how and where I first smelt this fragrance. I am obsessed with this super sensuous, alluring fragrance which has a complex mix of floral, creamy and musky accords. I haven’t done a detailed review of this fragrance as yet so let me know if you would like me to.

Victoria’s Secret Bombshell

Victoria’s Secret Bombshell

Nearly all of the fragrances from Victoria’s Secret smell amazing. One of my favourites used to be Very Sexy (the gift set is reviewed here) and recently, on my trip to New Zealand, I bought Victoria’s Secret Bombshell and Tease Noir. I would describe Bombshell as  a playful, fresh yet seductive fragrance and it is a bit sweeter than the rest of the perfumes in this list (with the exception of Love Yourself). Again this is a fruity-floral with on a creamy base of vanilla orchid.

Victoria’s Secret Noir Tease

Current Favourite fragrances
Victoria’s Secret Noir Tease

Everything about this fragrance – from the white-floral and fruity-musky notes to the adorable bottle with black lace, vintage-style atomiser and fishnet pattern on the back is LOVE! It is sensuous but in a fun, playful way pretty much like it’s name – Tease.
